Radon water kit : Precise determination of radon concentration in water
Radon can accumulate in water. To reliably determine the radon exposure of water samples, we have developed the Radon Water Kit—a specially designed extension for our RTM 2300 and EQF 33XX measuring devices. The system is based on the solubility equilibrium of radon between water and air. Since this depends heavily on temperature, a high-precision temperature sensor has been integrated, which continuously provides data during the measurement that is automatically incorporated into the calculation. This gives you reproducible and reliable measurement results.
Design and Function
The radon water kit consists of a gas washing bottle that is filled with a defined amount of water. The bottle is connected via connecting hoses to the measuring device, which pumps air in a circuit through the bottle and through the measuring chamber of the device, while the temperature sensor measures the current sample temperature. In this way, the radon is transferred from the water into the air and then analyzed.
